Young People - Machining and CNC Fact Sheet

By learning basic machining your career prospects are endless

If you are a practical/creative person, engineering machining may be for you.  Skilled machinists create precision parts using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinding machines.  Some machinists work on CNC machines - controlled by computers.   A high proportion of machines used in engineering are now of this type and employers pay excellent salaries for machinists with these skills.  So take the challenge - the sky's your limit!
