Young People - Pre-Apprenticeships - Work Trials (e2e)
Can you contribute to the future prosperity of business by giving people a chance?
People on a government sponsored e2e course need your support to help them prepare for the world of work.
You can contribute by providing a work experience placement for a short period of time at no cost to your company.
e2e is a programme to help individuals on their way towards a career. It is an opportunity for them to try out the jobs they are interested in before making a commitment to full-time employment, college or further training. Whilst on e2e, learners undertake a work placement to gain experience, which is supported by attendance at our Training Centre to develop their skills in job search, letter writing, communications, interviews, team work, and many other skills needed to succeed.
As an Employer;
You could assist one of our learners by offering a brief work placement to help them gain experience in your industry, enabling them to make an informed career choice. It is a reciprocal arrangement - you gain some extra help for a while at no cost and the learner gains some work experience.
How long does the placement last?
The placement can be as short as you like or lasting up to a maximum of eight weeks. Even if you were only able to offer a learner one day in the work place, that would be of great benefit to them. Ideally though, most placements are initially arranged for one week, with a view to extend the duration if you wish. Placements can also be arranged on a part-time basis, if this suits you and meets the learner's needs.
Who pays the Learner?
There is absolutely no cost to you whatsoever, other than the time you spend initially showing the learner how to do the jobs you want them to do.
What are the Benefits?
The Employer...
Meet the learner before you commit
Decide the placement duration, between 1 and 8 weeks
Incur no financial costs
Can use it as an extended interview
Obtain a useful additional resource
The Learner ...
Learns the skills required in your sector
Understands the responsibilities of working in your sector
Improves their confidence through working with others
Understands the importance of good communication
Is able to make an informed decision on their future
If you can help someone take their first step towards their career, or would like to recruit for your work force, please give us a call on 023 9245 4445 and ask for e2e.
